OAPC Sunday Service, “When I am Weak, Then I am Strong”

Pastor Jeonghwan Shin preached about the weakness and strengths in Christians. He urged us not to be trapped in our weakness, but to become strong ministers of God who live by the power that God gives.

Paul had a thorn in the flesh and begged three times to be freed from it. He had problems that haunted him. However, the answer he received from God through prayer was a new level of faith that preceded the disappearance of the problem.

God said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul was converted from a life lived by his own ability and his own strength to a life lived through God. He later boasted and rejoiced in his weakness. His attitude towards weakness has changed. Because the power of God is revealed through that weakness.

Pastor Shin said, “We have weaknesses within us. We live with various problems, situationally, environmentally, and existentially. We want to achieve great results among those who do the work of the Lord, but we are frustrated and discouraged due to the weakness we have. But then, like Paul, we must enter a new level of faith. We must become those who hold onto true strength in that weakness.”
