The 2025 Great Commission Mission Conference (GCMC), themed “Jesus, the Light of the World,” was held at OAPC from August 14–16. The three-day event encouraged participants to renew their Christian identity and mission, and to listen for God’s heart for the nations.

Some 17 countries were represented among missionaries and local workers, bringing firsthand reports from mission fields and creating a powerful atmosphere of intercession and shared burden for the unreached.

The conference program featured deep expository teaching on Romans 1–4, missionary-challenge sessions from field workers, and regional reports (including filmed and live updates) that moved many participants to prayer—most notably a testimony from a Ukrainian missionary who shared the reality of ministry amid conflict.

In addition to plenary Bible expositions and testimonies, attendees could choose from practical elective seminars addressing topics such as Christian dating and marriage for young people, overcoming depression and anxiety, and “Why doesn’t God answer my prayer?” The program also included campfires, forest prayer times, recreational events and Polaroid photo moments that fostered fellowship and spiritual refreshment.

Organizers described GCMC as an inter-denominational forum where churches and mission groups unite around the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20), aiming to pass vision to the next generation and rekindle zeal for gospel advance.

Participants left encouraged to carry Christ’s light into the world, renewed in their sense of calling to proclaim Jesus to the ends of the earth.

The Great Commission Mission Conference (GCMC), scheduled for August 14-16, 2025, is gaining momentum as preparations unfold with great anticipation. This 3-day event is expected to mark a significant turning point in Korean mission history.

With just 2 month remaining, organizers have already distributed multilingual evangelism materials in Korean, English, and Chinese, launched the official website (https://대사명.kr), and are strategizing promotional efforts across various platforms.

Starting May 29, a weekly online noon prayer meeting will be held under the theme “Online Prayer for Mission Conference Preparation.” The prayer sessions aim to unite hearts and seek the power of the Holy Spirit as the conference approaches.

The GCMC promises to be a transformative experience-featuring passionate worship, deep meditation on the Word, global mission challenges, meaningful fellowship, and follow-up mission projects. It is designed to be a space where young people of the Lord practice true discipleship with their lives.

As young people respond to the Lord’s calling and gather for this conference, we anticipate God’s mighty works to unfold. May this become a time when the body of Christ is strengthened, the missionary mandate is rediscovered, and the workers of the Lord are raised up through grace.

Let us pray together in one spirit for a powerful outpouring during this season of preparation.

This is scheduled to last for 4 days and 3 nights from Friday, December 22nd to Monday, the 25th, the day of Christmas, and is expected to be a retreat filled with abundant grace.

In the world, many distractions make us not see Jesus during Christmas, such as commercial marketing, romantic songs, material gifts, and so on, but we wish to focus on Jesus, the Son of God who came to save us, especially during Christmas. The mission teams are diligently promoting the event to invite many new souls so that they can come to know Christ.

While preparing for on-site mission, OA Korea is making web churches for each country where the missionaries will be sent, with the help of the IT team in the office.

Launching the web church is crucial for local mission even if on-site mission work begins.

Web church is important because web presence can reveal the first reason for existence, to inform and to officially confirm that there is a church in the area. When an online ministry has been established so that it can have a clear presence, it can be used as a tool for evangelism or as a place for education and fellowship. We can update contents, share events and schedules of the church online and offline, and lead them more actively.

The important thing in web church is to allow interested people to connect with us. In the introduction, if we can draw a roadmap of what we can offer them, what education they can get, and how their beliefs and lives can be different, the significance of the web church is successfully accomplished.

This construction is the demolition of the mid-sized auditorium, one of the large-scale spaces in the main building of the OAPC, and pastors are participating in the construction together.

The schedule starts from the morning service at 5 AM, and construction continues after the meeting about the work from dawn. This time, the renovation work is to be done for five days. The mid-sized auditorium is planned to be renovated after the overall demolition.

The demolition has been discharging waste after Nehemiah’s preliminary work. In particular, as safety and physical strength are important as there are risks and hardships in the demolition work, the work team asked for prayer for this and for the strength of the pastors’ spirit and body. In addition, the Nehemiah Project is also being carried out to finance the work equipment.
