To expand its external network and radiate the “aroma of Christ” within the local community, the Olivet Asia Pacific Center (OAPC) is developing innovative policies and systems for 2026. Central to this vision is the adoption of the “Village Enterprise” model, designed to benefit the local economy and establish OAPC as a commendable organization on a national level.

1. The Village Enterprise System: Aiming for National Recognition
Through extensive research and strategic meetings, OAPC has formulated a plan to utilize the “Village Enterprise” system to serve the local community effectively. This initiative is expected to garner significant material and systemic support, particularly in the field of education, while demonstrating the practical love of Christ through social contribution.

2. Bridging Generations: High-Quality Education for the Next Generation
A primary focus of this expansion is the spiritual and intellectual growth of the 2nd generation. By leveraging the resources provided by the new system, OAPC aims to create an environment where the 1st generation of leaders can provide high-level mentorship and education to the youth. This ensures that the spiritual heritage of the community is passed down within a stable and advanced educational infrastructure.

3. A Global Sanctuary: Enhancing Facilities for Missionaries
OAPC is also dedicated to improving its cultural and environmental facilities to serve as a global mission hub. The goal is to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for members visiting from diverse cultural backgrounds across the Asia-Pacific region. These upgrades will allow ministers to find rest and be replenished with grace in a serene setting.

P. Jeonghwan Shin, General Secretary of OAAP, shared his heart for the project: “We are committed to making OAPC a true hub where people from all over the world can find peace and experience the fullness of God’s grace. I ask for your continued prayers as we research and build this sanctuary for the Kingdom.”

AOctober 10, 2025, the Friday prayer meeting was held at the Amagi Center. Pastor Deborah preached on Acts 18:5-11 with the title “There Are Many of My People in This City.” She shared about the apostles’ passion for witnessing to Jesus Christ and God’s kingdom in any circumstance, and how the Lord worked wonders even amid persecution, demonstrating the Holy Spirit’s work in advancing missions.

Silas and Timothy came to Corinth, where Paul was, having collected the offering in Macedonia. Paul had been supporting himself by tentmaking while on his missionary journey, but when the financial support arrived, he devoted himself to preaching the gospel all day long. However, the Jews in Corinth opposed and resisted him, so he decided to go to the Gentiles. And so, the remarkable work of God unfolds: Titus Justus, who revered God, was evangelized, and through him, the family of the synagogue leader was evangelized. Furthermore, many people in Corinth heard the gospel, believed, and were baptized. Where there is persecution, the Lord’s blessing and God’s reward surely follow afterward.

As many people were being saved, Paul earnestly prayed to the Lord in a situation where persecutors might attack again. The Lord told him in a vision not to be afraid, not to be silent, but to speak. The Lord is with us in every situation, and there is no one who can stand against us to harm us. The Lord also said, “I have many people in this city.” There are many people whom the Lord loves and has prepared.

Pastor Deborah emphasized that we too should believe this word, hold a faith that fears only the Lord, and become those who are bold and victorious in the world.

As they listened to the Word and prayed, they recalled the amazing work of the Holy Spirit who had not only protected us through persecution but also blessed us, and they deeply contemplated a life lived in complete reliance on the Lord.

The 110th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Korea convened at Gratia Hall, OAPC, and concluded in an atmosphere of thanksgiving and praise. Delegates gave glory to God for His grace throughout the Assembly and for the fellowship and service shared during the gathering.

Across the sessions, delegates engaged in in-depth discussion on major agenda items that will shape the denomination’s future—topics including Faith and Order, Evangelism, Mission and Education, and strategies for self-supporting missions. Careful deliberation and prayer characterized the meeting as leaders sought faithful, Scripture-rooted direction for the church’s next season.

The election was conducted in accordance with the Assembly’s bylaws, and P. Jaesung Choi was elected as the President. Delegates voiced unified support and encouragement for his ministry as he assumes leadership for the new term.

The Assembly affirmed again the call for church leaders to serve as faithful representatives who guide their congregations in obedience and fruitful witness to the gospel. Delegates prayed that the denomination would continue to bear spiritual fruit and that the leadership would shepherd the church with wisdom and faithfulness to Christ.

As the new term begins, the Assembly prayed that the denomination—as an evangelical body—would increasingly display the fragrance of Christ in word and deed.

A Holistic Space for Spiritual and Physical Renewal

(Hoengseong, OAPC) — With gratitude, the Olivet Asia Pacific Center (OAPC) has officially opened a new, state-of-the-art fitness center — a space dedicated to renewing both body and mind. This facility will enable ministers, members, and guests to continue in mission and service with strengthened vitality.

The project was made possible through the generous support of the members. Residents and visitors have long prayed for a place not only for spiritual renewal through Scripture and prayer but also for faithful stewardship of the bodies God has given. This new center is an answer to those prayers and a reflection of the community’s commitment to raising up healthy Christians — both spiritually and physically.

From a mission perspective, the center holds strategic importance: it will help ministers, missionaries, and members sustain the stamina required for daily ministry and long-term outreach. OAPC hopes that those who train here will be strengthened to serve with greater endurance, joy, and health as they carry the gospel to many places.

OAPC invites continued prayers that this facility will bless the community, promote holistic well-being, and empower God’s servants to run the race with renewed strength for the sake of His kingdom.

OAAP(Olivet Assembly of Asia Pacific) recently convened ministers from the Department of Education and the Department of Art & Design to prayerfully discuss how to preserve and proclaim the distinctive character of our community-formed and shaped by God’s Word-so that all Asia Pacific ministry sites continue to work with conviction rooted in Scripture and history.

Report from the General Secretary, Focus united in the center

P. Jeonghwan Shin, General Secretary of OAAP, opened by reporting on recent victories in the mission fields, the mission statistics and strategic direction. He affirmed a central characteristic of our community: we are a community shaped by the Word of God. In the meeting they traced how everything that is seen and heard through our community- Faith and Order, our Mission Strategy, the work of each ministry site and even the process of becoming and living as committed member -begins with God’s Word.

DOE’s First Priority: Conveying the message of the Bible with Systematizing Sermons and Expositions

As a first priority, DOE is systematizing and datafying the sermons and biblical expositions so missionaries can be passed on effectively. DOE is steadily publishing materials through e-book and printed lecture books.

We received God’s love through the gospel handed down to us. The life-giving effect of the gospel transmitted. we must first organize them well. This work can flourish and become a foundational stone for God’s kingdom and righteousness on this land.”

DOAD’s Direction and Training of Ministers

The meeting also stressed the indispensable role of design as the container and sometimes the very carrier of truth. Design is not mere decoration: even choices like font, weight and color can change how a message is received. DOAD will lead efforts to create, edit and, when needed, remodel materials so the gospel is conveyed purely and powerfully. From printed books, Word-websites and screen background image behind Bible lecturers to 1:1 or public lectures, the gospel must pass through channels shaped by thoughtful design.

The meeting closed with a sober reminder: hold fast to the focus, direction, and heart of the mission. As long as we remain formed by the gospel and shaped by God’s Word, He will give the growth. A Word-shaped church is the gateway through which the nations may enter, standing firm and rising for the expansion of God’s kingdom.

News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases … and he healed them. / Matt.4:24

Matthew tells us that news about Jesus spread throughout Syria. That place, under the rule of the Roman Empire, was not regarded by the Jews as the center of their faith and life. This was no small, local event—it revealed the gospel breaking past the political and cultural boundaries of the time. The Gospel writer bears witness to God’s astonishing grace reaching even those places people avoided or rejected.

God’s grace cannot be confined within walls of human making. Through Christ—who draws near to the sick, the broken, and the marginalized—the good news moves into the very places of hurt and alienation. Nothing can stop this news. When the mercy and power of Jesus meet real need, hearts are opened and the kingdom is proclaimed in both word and deed.

May we also carry this unstoppable gospel, stepping beyond our comfort zones and barriers, so that others may encounter the Healer and receive the life He gives.

Hong Kong, Ephesus Church. On the afternoon of Pentecost Sunday, June 8，brothers and sisters from the Hong Kong Ephesus Church gathered for a powerful three-hour Praise and Prayer Meeting, marked by the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit. During the gathering, Brother Michael received the gift of tongues, a testament to God’s moving among His people.

The meeting was divided into two parts:
Praise & Worship Session / Congregation sang hymns with heartfelt devotion, ushering in an atmosphere of deep spiritual freedom. Many were moved to tears during prayer, experiencing profound comfort and renewal.
Prayer Session / Elim Hong Kong guided the group in fervent intercession, praying for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit’s gifts. T
he church specifically prayed for two brothers to receive the gift of tongues as the Acts 2 in the Holy Bible, and by God’s grace, Brothers were filled with the Spirit and began speaking in tongues. The meeting concluded with joyful prayers for the next generation, as children also rejoiced in the Spirit’s presence.

Throughout the afternoon, the Holy Spirit moved mightily, bringing liberation, healing, and renewed faith. The church anticipates even greater fruit in the upcoming summer gatherings, believing that this Pentecost outpouring will lead to a season of abundant spiritual harvest.

The 2025 Great Commission Mission Conference (GCMC), themed “Jesus, the Light of the World,” was held at OAPC from August 14–16. The three-day event encouraged participants to renew their Christian identity and mission, and to listen for God’s heart for the nations.

Some 17 countries were represented among missionaries and local workers, bringing firsthand reports from mission fields and creating a powerful atmosphere of intercession and shared burden for the unreached.

The conference program featured deep expository teaching on Romans 1–4, missionary-challenge sessions from field workers, and regional reports (including filmed and live updates) that moved many participants to prayer—most notably a testimony from a Ukrainian missionary who shared the reality of ministry amid conflict.

In addition to plenary Bible expositions and testimonies, attendees could choose from practical elective seminars addressing topics such as Christian dating and marriage for young people, overcoming depression and anxiety, and “Why doesn’t God answer my prayer?” The program also included campfires, forest prayer times, recreational events and Polaroid photo moments that fostered fellowship and spiritual refreshment.

Organizers described GCMC as an inter-denominational forum where churches and mission groups unite around the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20), aiming to pass vision to the next generation and rekindle zeal for gospel advance.

Participants left encouraged to carry Christ’s light into the world, renewed in their sense of calling to proclaim Jesus to the ends of the earth.
